Olympic Javelin
As planned, the high-speed train service Olympic Javelin will shuttle Olympic visitors, directly from London St Pancras to Ebbsfleet and on to Europe. Southeastern plan to begin running test services by summer 2009. This will mark the start of high-speed rail in the UK.
Ebbsfleet Art Sculpture
A 50-metre sculpture will represent Ebbsfleet and Ebbsfleet Valley to landmark the huge regeneration scheme in north Kent. It is estimated around 40 million people a year will travel past on trains and in cars, the sculpture been has commissioned £2m to cover the development cost. The final and winning sculpture a "Giant Horse" called Ebbsfleet Horse by Mark Wallinger will form the full size landmark, the announcement was made on Tuesday 10th February 2009,
