Bøjden is a small danish village that attracts tourists mainly because of calm family friendly waters and very good good conditions for windsurfers.
Small place with few sights, but a pleasant little place to spend a few days during the summer months.
Bøjden has a small harbour where you have a combination of small commercial fishing vessels and leisure boats.
There is usually some local life at the harbour and it tends to be the place where people hang out when they socialise. There is a nice view of the bay down there, so it's worth taking a stroll there.
Bøjden nor is one of the best places in Denmark to watch both migrating and stationary birds.
It's located next to the ferry and devided by a dam that leads to the ferry.
The area has places where you can observe the birds at close range without disturbing them.
The village also hosts one of the most active tractor clubs in the country. It´s a club for people who are passionate about Massey Ferguson tractors and "bøjden ferguson klub" have several events and parties every year. This is really redneck denmark in a very charming way.
